Our Mindful Youth provide Therapeutic Supports to children and young people in Geelong and The Bellarine Peninsula, with a focus on mental health. Our services aim to empower clients with the knowledge and skills needed to increase their level of independence and improve their mental and physical health.
Art Therapy refers to any combination of visual arts, writing, drama, music or dance as a creative and therapeutic outlet. Art Therapy sessions involve choosing an appropriate art modality and using this modality to lower anxiety and stress, improve self-awareness and self-esteem, strengthen relationships, regulate behaviours and increase social skills.
Using art as a tool for expression, communication and self exploration could be the most important tool missing from your mental health tool kit. Creative expression is a great way to:
