Tessa Lloyd

Occupational Therapist dip. Art Therapy

Tessa has a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and Post Graduate Diploma of Art Therapy. Tessa’s approach is holistic, client centered and creative.

 

Her passions and extra training include eating disorders, motivational interviewing, supporting Autistic clients, mindfulness and yoga approaches, supporting adolescents who have experienced trauma and essential oils impact on the sensory system. She holds her Mental Health First Aid and is endorsed by the Better Access to Mental Health Support scheme (Medicare rebate program). Tessa believes in supporting clients to understand themselves, advocate for their needs and develop life skills that will allow them to participate in their life in a meaningful way.

Tessa works Tuesdays from our Geelong office, and Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from our Chapel Street office.

Christine Chamoun

Art Therapist

Christine has a Bachelor in Art Psychotherapy and Diploma in Visual Arts, and currently works from both our Geelong and Melbourne offices. Her approach to Art Therapy supports clients to explore and understand themselves and their past experiences on a deeper level, increasing their emotional awareness and sense of self. Creativity and self expression is a key element in her work. Christine is a present and attentive clinician, who offers invitations to use different art procedures, asks questions, and is a witness to the therapeutic process.

 

Christine has experience working with adolescents and young adults, clients with dementia, and people with drug and alcohol addiction.

Greta Mawbey

Art Therapist

Greta has a Master of Art Therapy and Bachelor of Arts. Her approach to Art Therapy is humanistic, whilst also influenced  by psychotherapy approaches, such as CBT and DBT.

 

Greta is recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and strength focussed in her practice; helping clients regulate emotions, reframe perspectives and find alternative coping strategies when dealing with various mental health conditions. Greta creates a safe, non-judgemental space for you to discover a unique visual language of your own.

Greta works Thursdays and Fridays at our Geelong office.

Renee Rekes

Admin Assistant 

Renee is an experienced Mental Health support worker and Postpartum doula who supports families from all walks of life. 

 

Renee also happens to be our administration assistant, supporting the Our Mindful Youth clinical team and is your first point of call, the friendly voice responding to all your calls and referrals. 

 

When not working, Renee enjoys time with her family and spending as much time as she can by the beach!

Lucy Burke

Therapy Assistant

Lucy has been working as a Therapy Assistant with Our Mindful Youth for three years. Her background is in working with neurodivergent adolescents, and she has experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and in support eating disorder recovery.

 

Lucy  completed her Bachelor of Psychology in 2023, and is now studying her Masters in Art Therapy at Latrobe as she works towards her dream of becoming an Art Therapist. She is an artist and yoga teacher, with a passion for mental health and well-being, nature and creativity. She is grateful to be supporting the Our Mindful Youth team and clients while pursuing her studies, learning from the wonderful therapists she hopes to work alongside in the future.
